Another Igbo trader with three others
were mobbed to death by an angry mob at Pandogari in Rafi Local
Government Area of Niger State
Report reaching our newsroom here in Paris say it was in reaction to a blasphemous statement.
The victim in question reportedly posted
the statement on a social media thus sparking off an angry reaction and
a pandemonium ensued.
Two churches, three houses, and many shops were reportedly looted and set on fire.
The name of the victim has been given as
Methodus Emmanuel Chimaijie, aged 24 by the Niger State Police Command
spokesperson, ASP Bala.
The
young reports say was trailed to his house in the above-named town
where he was swooped on and beaten to death along with other 4 personnel
of the Nigerian Civil Defence Corps.
Meanwhile,
no fewer than 32 suspects, the police spokesperson said, have been
arrested in connection with the violence that claimed lives in the
restive town who will arraigned soon in court, DailyGlobeWatch
understands.
